Hunyani-Estate Agro-Industrial Special Economic Zone (AISEZ)

2024 - Present

Precision-Grown, Organic Farming Connecting Thriving Communities to Global Markets

Project Overview

The Hunyani-Estate AISEZ is a 2,600-hectare integrated agro-industrial hub combining high-tech farming, livestock production, and value-added processing for global markets. This PPP initiative leverages Zimbabwe's agricultural potential through climate-smart practices and SEZ economic incentives.

The project focuses on organic cultivation of citrus, avocados, paprika, and stevia, with integrated processing facilities for oils, concentrates, and frozen goods. It establishes Zimbabwe as a sustainable exporter to EU, Middle Eastern, and Asian markets.

With $16.2 million in core infrastructure and $90 million solar investment, the AISEZ creates over 1,000 jobs while implementing out-grower programs that guarantee market access for local farmers.
